Wouter Jacobs, ECTC
Wouter Jacobs is the founder and executive director of the Erasmus Commodity & Trade Centre (ECTC) at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, driving innovation in global trade. He is a passionate academic professional (PhD, 2007) involved in applied research, academic and executive education and strategic policy interventions and has a strong interest in location decisions of firms in commodity trade, shipping and maritime business services. His wealth of experience allows him to connect real-world practice and academic research of commodity trading markets. A recognized expert, Wouter advises the J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities, and his insights appear in publications such as Financial Times and Bloomberg.
